Surrounded by a stunning landscape dotted with vineyards, olive groves and animals, Poderuccio is an old stone farmhouse dating back to 1619. The farmhouse has been renovated and equipped with all comforts for a wonderful relaxing stay and adventure. Lucia and her family will welcome and pamper you, sharing their passion for their products and land with you. You will be given plenty of tips on the best itineraries and activities you can do during your stay – including restaurants and wine tasting venues where the flavours, colours and scents of Tuscany’s wine and food tradition are there for you to enjoy. An authentic and original experience awaits you!
Poderuccio has an adjoining farm which produces wine, extra virgin olive oil, seasonal vegetables and fruits with the utmost care and wisdom. These (strictly organic) products are offered to guests during their stay. The building is an excellent starting point to reach the most beautiful places in Val d’Orcia – a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004. You can also visit the nearby towns of San Quirico d’Orcia, Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano, Cortona, and the beautiful Siena.
You will dip into the healing hot waters of Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo or Chianciano spas. You can also see the beautiful abbeys of Sant’Antimo, Monte Oliveto and Monte Amiata, where you can go hiking or even skiing in winter. Given its proximity to the current Cassia secondary road or the ancient Via Francigena, Poderuccio is an ideal starting point for walks, mountain biking and horseback riding on the trails marking the stage length, attractions on the way and level of difficulty.
Poderuccio offers a wide variety of accommodation solutions with a total of eight beds, catering to everyone’s needs. Our rooms can accommodate both families and couples who want to spend a romantic weekend together. In addition, they are equipped with all amenities. Prices may vary from €25.00 to €40.00 per person – depending on the season, the duration of your stay and type of accommodation. Please contact us for further information. Outside, you can enjoy the beauty of nature from a roof terrace with a gazebo, tables, chairs and sun loungers. There are also farmyard animals roaming around that can be fed. In sum, Poderuccio is an ideal place for your holidays with family and children, or for a moment of relax with your partner or friends.
